The book explores the concept of cognitive dissonance, the psychological discomfort experienced when holding conflicting beliefs, and how individuals within the cult adjusted their beliefs to reduce this dissonance. The study centered on a group called the \"Seekers,\" led by Dorothy Martin, who believed a great flood would destroy the world, but they would be saved by flying saucers. When the predicted date of the flood passed without incident, the group members did not abandon their beliefs, but instead, many became even more fervent in their conviction, reinterpreting the failed prophecy.

- プロジェクタータイプの絵本は初めて購入しましたが、部屋を暗くして壁に映った絵を子供が興味深そうに見ていました。初めは何が起こっているのか分からないようでしたが、次第に絵本の世界に入っていったようです。他の絵本もまた買ってみたいです。

- １歳になったばかりのベイベちゃんですが、こぐまちゃん大好き！これはどうぶつばかり。。。しかもうんちばかりでてくるような笑。やはり「ほっとけーき」にはかないません。。。

- 表紙の通り、絵が可愛いです。でもお話しは若干唐突過ぎるかなと思う部分があって気になりました。 うちの子供は気に入ったみたいです。 11/21のブログで詳細と一緒に買ったもののリンクなどを載せました。
